Cooperative Marketing Initiative
The CMI (Cooperative Marketing Initiatiave) was started in 2003 by 10 Hotels and 5 allied members. Today, participants include 20 small hotels, activities and attractions, retails shops and destination management companies. We are “Strategic & Corporate Partners” with American Express, Havensite Mall Association/WICO, Cape Air and Yacht Haven Grande.
Our Vision: To secure a global marketing presence and awareness that will generate, grow and sustain demand for our destination.
Our Mission: To maintain the equitable self generated fund that enables the HTA to take the leadership role in planning unified and consistent marketing efforts.
2008 initiatives include: aligning with the Department of Tourism’s Marketing Plan, website pay-per-click and search engine optimization enhanced programs, destination promotions (Sizzling Summer Sampler), consumer driven tradeshow attendance, industry partner reservation center trainings, gorilla marketing campaigns (Big Beach Ball) and our Destination Symposium.
