Message from CHTA President Emil Lee: Our upcoming new industry event called CHIEF, the Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum, will take place from Oct. 2-4 at the El Conquistador Resort, a Waldorf Astoria Resort in Puerto Rico. Designed to help you improve your overall profitability by increasing revenues, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and improving overall efficiency, there has been nothing like CHIEF in the Caribbean for the past two decades.

CHIEF was born out of listening to the wishes of our hotel and allied members to have a conference that brings the best and brightest people in Caribbean tourism together to share knowledge in a fun setting. We are excited that the event is working as planned to bring together our industry.

CHIEF has ignited a renewed enthusiasm among our membership. Hoteliers are viewing this as an opportunity to network with industry colleagues and learn about best practices that both small and large hotels are using to become more successful. It also provides our allied membership the opportunity to renew and strengthen their relationships with the hoteliers and showcase their expertise and products at the trade show segment.

We encourage you to actively participate and share your lessons learned, both success stories and failures, because we believe that by sharing our collective experiences our industry can reach new levels of quality and success.
