As the USVI prepares to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Transfer Day with festivities throughout the year, International Capital & Management Company (ICMC) is pleased to announce the 2017 dates for its popular Jazz in the Park music series, kicking off with a special concert in honor of the USVI Centennial on Feb. 25.

Now in its eighth year, Jazz in the Park has grown to become one of the most popular and highly anticipated community events on St. Thomas. On Feb. 25, fans can expect one of the largest events to date featuring an expanded format with live musical entertainment on two stages, an expanded street fair including a health and wellness expo, an artists’ gallery, cooking demonstrations, food vendors and the exciting “Kid’s Zone.” To honor the USVI Centennial, the concert will exclusively feature Virgin Islands musicians.

“Although our line-up usually includes both visiting and local talent, we want to celebrate this important milestone in USVI history by uniquely showcasing the world-class and diverse talent of Virgin Islanders,” said Karen Hughes, director of community relations at ICMC. She continued, “The line-up, which is still being finalized, will include bands from across the territory as well as VI performers living abroad.”

The quarterly music series takes place in Roosevelt Park, St. Thomas and admission is free. Dates for the upcoming series are:

  • Feb. 25 from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. (expanded format)
  • April 7 from 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • July 22 from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. (expanded format)
