Good Day,
MBW has begun working towards providing assistance to the following groups: seniors, homeless, displaced school kids, and individuals and families with medical or special needs.
Because of MBW’s actions after Irma and our longstanding partnerships in the community, MBW is ready to stand in the gap for these vulnerable groups, but will also try to avoid duplicating response efforts.
At this time, MBW will be starting our “meals on wheels” program next week on STT. Our workshop on STT located at Tutu Park Mall will receive donations of essential items that will be quarantined and distributed according to health guidelines. Our workshops on STT and STX will engage with distributions on a needs basis in order to help our most vulnerable and get resources where they need to go with health being the primary objection.
MBW is also looking at ways that our organization can help coordinate our amazing community on STT, STX, and STJ while being mindful that the idea is NOT to spread the virus, but spread hope. As we finalize details, we will keep the community informed.
Please use our campaign link HERE to give financially to these efforts and please use HERE to volunteer in the following areas material sourcing, case management/client monitoring, and distribution.
A reminder to all to stay calm. We have an incredible opportunity to spread hope in our community.
