Safety in Paradise is a free, local OSHA resource available to assist employers in developing and maintaining workplace safety and health, especially under these less-than-ideal post-storm conditions. To help employers, we are providing a series of free training sessions on important and relevant safety and health topics. Please join us for the following information sessions:

Indoor Air Quality: This session will focus on the types of contaminants that many small businesses may face (ex. dust, mold, carbon monoxide), and what can be done to either eliminate the hazard or at least mitigate risk of injury/illness due to these hazards.

-St Croix: March 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at UVI Albert Sheen A. Campus, Research and Extension Center Room 133

-St. Thomas: March 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at UVI St. Thomas Campus, UVICELL Classroom

Ladder Safety: March is recognized as Ladder Safety Month. In observation of this awareness campaign, this session will focus on ladder safety requirements including ladder selection, inspection, use, care and storage. Too many workers have been gravely injured and some have died from not adhering to some of these requirements. Come learn and be informed!

-St. Croix: March 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at UVI Albert Sheen A. Campus, Research and Extension Center Room 133

-St. Thomas: March 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at UVI St. Thomas Campus, UVICELL Classroom
