Regatta_Photo Credit Dean BarnesThe 43rd Annual St. Thomas International Regatta sets sail March 25 to 27. Join us as we watch brightly colored sails on sleek yachts race by like Easter bonnets on parade. Sip Cruzan Rum and Presidente beer while rubbing shoulders with famous Olympic, world champion and American Cup sailors at afternoon beach BBQs and nightly parties.

Water: The action kicks off this year with the new Round the Rocks Race, a circumnavigation of St. John on March 24. Watch starts at 11 a.m. from seaside venues spanning from Margaritaville to Sapphire Beach. On Friday, an 80-plus yacht fleet will race into the Charlotte Amalie harbor and back to the east end. Best viewing times in town or from the pool deck at Frenchman Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Saturday, there will be racing off the east end and south side of St. Thomas as well as in front of the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, while on Sunday the competition moves to Pillsbury Sound.

Shore: Everyone is invited! The Welcome Party kicks off at 6 p.m. at the St. Thomas Yacht Club with music by the West Lindy Band. On Friday, we’ll host the Jump up Party with Cool Sessions Brass starting at 7 p.m. On Saturday, it’s the famous STIR Yacht Haven Grande Party with the band Spectrum on stage from 7 to 11 p.m. Finally, cheer for the champions at the Awards Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on the STYC beach, followed by the Final Fling Party with the Ah We Band.
