USVIHTA manager Nicole Friday visited Ulla F. Muller Elementary School for a Career Fair on Dec. 4 where she spoke with students about their futures. Friday met with three classes of over 100 students to speak with them about career opportunities in the hospitality industry. Children were engaged and excited as they asked questions about their opportunities and began to set personal goals for themselves. The USVIHTA Education and Training Committee participates in several events each year to educate the community on the most important economic driver in the territory, tourism. By educating the youth of the community, we are paving the road for continued success in tourism and hospitality. Other agencies such as the VI Police Department, VI Fire Department, WAPA, beauticians, attorneys and several other individuals also spoke about different career opportunities available to the children in the future.
