US Virgin Islands Hotel & Tourism Association
As manager of the USVI Hotel and Tourism Association, Nicole Friday has numerous responsibilities including overseeing more than 200 members, carrying out the Education and Training and Membership Committee initiatives, organizing the Tommy Star Awards and Gala, coordinating the USVI Culinary Team and much more.
Friday graduated from Charlotte Amalie High School and went on to earn a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of the Virgin Islands. She began her career in the tourism industry as an intern at USVIHTA and began a full-time position ten years ago.
“Nicole came to the association as a Summer Employment Program intern and has grown into a member of the USVIHTA family. Her talent and eagerness to pass on her skills to the next generation of tourism ambassadors has made her quite an asset to the team,” said USVIHTA President Lisa Hamilton. “I am proud of her accomplishments and look forward to her continued growth and success.”
“My passion for the industry comes from my desire to work with people and being able to promote my island home,” Friday said during a previous interview. “It’s one of the most diverse industries to be a part of as well as one of the most rewarding.”
Friday cited her own experience planning vacations as her desire to make all visitors to the territory feel welcome. She said she knows what to expect and can channel that into her work.
The association would like to express our gratitude to Nicole Friday for her dedication and hard work throughout the years. We are excited for the next ten!
