US Virgin Islands Hotel & Tourism Association

Wayne L. Biggs, Jr., Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (“USVIEDA”), announces that due to the tropical storm warning issued for the U.S. Virgin Islands, USVIEDA offices in the St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix districts will temporarily cease remote work operations at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 to allow team members to complete personal preparations.

As the U.S. Virgin Islands is placed under a tropical storm warning, the USVIEDA’s designated team for disaster preparedness activates the Authority’s plan to secure records, office equipment, and the physical structure of its offices and its industrial parks in both districts.

USVIEDA reminds its clients and the general public to safeguard the well-being of family members, personal property, businesses, and other structures. As always, USVIEDA stands ready to assist with your business needs in the aftermath of any storm.

Please continue following emergency, health and safety guidelines of VITEMA, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Virgin Islands Department of Health and monitor media announcements for updates.

The general public may visit www.usvieda.org and the USVIEDA’s Facebook page @usvieda and Twitter feed at @USVI_EDA for post-storm updates on the USVIEDA’s remote work operations.
