US Virgin Islands Hotel & Tourism Association

The USVI Environmental Protection Agency in collaboration with the University of the Virgin Islands and the Department of Planning and Natural Resources, will be hosting a one-day workshop/conference, Reducing the Use of Pesticides in the Caribbean, on Nov. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m at the Charles W. Turnbull Regional Library. There will be several segments instructing attendees on how to reduce the use of pesticides in homes, hotels, restaurants and schools as well as the health impacts of pesticides. Attendees will learn from experts on how to reduce the use of pesticides, and how to use sustainable solutions for pest control. It will also cover the health issues associated with applying pesticides. This conference is free and open to the public.
