UVICell PhotoThe value of a high school diploma cannot be overstated. A high school diploma can serve as a stepping stone to further your education and enhance your options for employment. Without a high school diploma, many applicants are passed over in the job market for high school graduates or higher. In essence, lacking a diploma limits your range and quality of job options and puts you at a disadvantage to compete with similarly experienced candidates with more education.

The UVICELL Center offers an opportunity to individuals who for one reason or another were unable to obtain their high school diplomas. The Career Online High School Diploma is an accredited dual program that can be completed entirely online. Participants will earn 18 high school credits in the areas of mathematics, science, language arts and social studies. Additionally, they will learn professional skills training with a career-credentialed certificate in one of seven sought after fields such as food and hospitality, office management, retail customer service and general career preparation.

With 18-months to complete, each student can work to achieve their goals at their own pace. At the end of the program, students will receive a high school diploma, a career-based certificate and assistance preparing for the job market.
